Full Job Description

As a Crisis Recovery Worker, you will be required to provide a high quality, recovery focused service to individuals who have a range of mental health and autistic traits as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion. With experience of working within a community based, mental health setting, you should be able to inspire, engage and motivate people., You will work alongside Peer Support Workers (PSW) and Clinicians to achieve the best person-centered care with the patient for their recovery, whether that be joint working with other services to support them to make reasonable adjustments or PSW so patients can learn and practice skills.

  • You will be part of a small team supporting people in a crisis drop-in centre. We are a non-clinical service, providing support to reduce immediate distress to those at risk of self-harm, suicide or experiencing trauma. Our service provides information, safety planning and signposting for individuals, their families and carers to meet their holistic needs. You will work closely with mental health primary and secondary care, emergency services, partners agencies.

The service will be providing a crisis alternative to A&E through non-clinical, person centered support and recovery interventions. The service is open 6pm till 11pm and we are open 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
