Full Job Description
We wish to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the Quality Improvement Nursing team in Adult Critical Care. The post holder will join the Critical Care nursing leadership team to support the delivery of the harm-free care and quality improvement agenda., The Quality Improvement Lead Nurse (QIL) will be required to:
- Be a visible, proactive role model who leads on the quality agenda and service improvement across Adult Critical Care as part of the Senior Nursing Team.
- Lead in developing and advancing clinical practice, emphasising implementing evidence-based knowledge into practice.
- Provide leadership, advice and support, fostering a learning culture that values high-quality patient care.
- Work with the Lead Nurse/ Matrons / Ward Managers to ensure the multi-disciplinary team works together to achieve agreed common goals/outcomes.
- Ensure the highest standards of care are in place and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary teams, and implement and maintain systems and processes to ensure standards are maintained.
- Work flexibly as a team member to ensure standards are being maintained, evaluated, and, where necessary, improved.
- Contribute to the work of time-limited committees and project groups.
- Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required.
- Demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust's behavioural standards.
