Crude Oil Market Reporter, 12 Month FTC ICIS (Hybrid)

We are looking for an energy market reporter to join our editorial team, covering developments in crude oil. This is a 12-month maternity cover position with the potential to become permanent.
Supported by our editorial and analyst teams, you will break news, assess prices and produce analytical content. You thrive on writing exclusive news and explaining what this means for our readers.
You will contribute to the profile of ICIS by attending and speaking at industry events, engaging with and nurturing key contacts. International travel is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Covering a portfolio of global crude markets


• Collaborating closely with other business functions at ICIS and contribute ideas related to new coverage and services.


• Writing insightful, compelling news and market analysis and assessing prices


• Building and nurturing an international network of industry contacts


• Reporting on complex topics in an engaging and timely manner including use of data visualisations
  
  Demonstrate or interest in markets and economics


• Display inquisitive mind


• Understand or interest in markets and economics


• Demonstrate high level of numerical accuracy


• Have excellent writing and communication skills.


• Apply Price/commodities reporting experience or knowledge of energy markets would be an advantage but is not required
