Full Job Description

The CT department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the CT leadership team, working as a CT Deputy Lead Radiographer providing professional leadership and management within the CT team and supporting the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare. Norfolk and Norwich University NHS Foundation Trust is a large Acute Foundation Trust, renowned for providing a wide range of imaging services to a population exceeding 880,000. The CT department is experiencing requests for new services with a strategic plan for expansion to align with the Trust vision and five-year plan. This will result in an increase in the service provision to provide a much-improved environment for patient care, diagnosis and treatment. This will include the implementation of the regions Community Diagnostic Centre, of which there will be four new Canon CT scanners, one of which will have Cardiac CT capabilities. This will be a state-of-the-art Centre with diagnostics increasing their outpatient capacity significantly, this is due to open in February 2025. Applicants will contribute and work within the CT Team to deliver high quality diagnostic imaging to all service users, ensuring clinical safety and facilitating a high standard of patient care in line with the Trust's PRIDE values. The post requires a flexible and enthusiastic radiographer to join our friendly team working 12.5 hour shifts providing a 24/7 CT service.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Department has five scanners; Siemens Drive and Edge+, newly installed in 2021, Siemens Flash, a Siemens X.Cite, and GE Optima 660 Scanner, providing imaging to over 40,000 patients per year. Our Siemens Flash scanner is due to be upgraded in January 2024, in line with the National Asset Replacement Program. Working within CT provides opportunities to gain excellent experience in a wide range of CT imaging procedures including trauma, MSK, neurological, vascular, perfusion scanning, paediatric, and oncology. Significant growth within interventional, therapeutic CT and cardiac imaging offers a wide scope for personal development.
