Full Job Description
Wythenshawe Hospital part of Manchester Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint committed and compassionate radiographers to join our CT Team.
The workload is varied and we do many complex scanning procedures, the department has three CT scanners covering all aspects of CT scanning. We intend to increase our interventional service and provide an increased capacity for scanning and supporting lung cancer patients with the introduction of a dedicated Lung Cancer scanning unit.
The CT department consists of a friendly team who all work on a shift pattern rota, covering seven day / 24 hour working.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate an interest in CT scanning and have some experience of working in the NHS CT environment.
The CT department at Wythenshawe is very busy and we scan a lot of patients from all areas of the hospital. You will need to work with a large team of Radiographers including Radiologists, Radiology Assistants and Interventional Nurses.
To be responsible for the operational delivery of a high quality, safe and
efficient CT imaging.
To provide supervision and training for junior Radiographers, Assistant
Practitioners, Radiographic helpers and Student Radiographers.
