Full Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity available for a full time Cultural Engagement Support Officer to join our team on a temporary basis for 18 months. WHAT IS INVOLVED? Forming part of a core delivery team, you will support and assist with the development and delivery of innovative cultural engagement programmes, festivals and events, in line with service objectives, in order to create experiences that are intriguing and inspiring, widening participation and supporting audience development. Playing a key supporting role in coordinating commissioned and corporate festivals and events, you will work with a wide range of production partners, external delivery teams, stakeholders, partners, funders and event management companies as required, in the delivery of cultural programmes and events. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline Your essential experience will include supporting event/festival development and delivery and you must have a working knowledge of the cultural sector as it applies to this post., Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
