Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Curriculum Coordinator within our Construction and Engineering provision based at our Barnfield campus, Luton.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Head of School to plan, organise and co-ordinate the Construction and Engineering curriculum. You will build strong relationships with both colleagues and employers to enhance the programmes of study, to ensure the curriculum supports learners' progression and provides knowledge and skills for the future.
You will support the Head of School to drive KPI's, ensuring challenging targets are set and achieved for recruitment, retention and success of students as well as developing innovative approaches to the curriculum delivery.
You will ensure high levels of quality are maintained by supporting the delivery and design of curriculum to meet the guidelines set by the awarding bodies; ensuring students gain the skills needed for further and higher education, or meaningful employment.
You will be the first point of contact for colleagues and external agencies, so good communication skills and a commitment to the College's standards and values are essential. We are looking for a proactive and positive individual capable of working with staff across the College on a day-to-day basis.
You will hold a Level 5 teaching qualification, and ideally an assessor and IQA qualification. Teaching commitments will require a qualification with subject knowledge in one of the subject areas taught within the School.
You will have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do so you will be actively encouraged to upskill.
