Full Job Description

As the Curriculum Director, you will play a key role in aligning the department with our College's Strategic Plan and Policies. Your leadership will ensure that students have access to a high-quality, career-focused learning experience, while also overseeing the management of Study Programmes, staff, quality, and assessment standards. You will drive our Quality Framework and Career-Focused Learning Strategies, promoting continuous improvement and student engagement.,

  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that respond to local and national skills needs, including the introduction of T Levels, and enhance employer engagement.
  • Oversee student admissions, progress tracking, and the delivery of comprehensive support for students, ensuring compliance with College policies and curriculum requirements.
  • Lead Teaching, Learning & Assessment strategies, ensuring effective observation, quality reviews, and support for student success.
  • Manage and develop staff within the Sector Area, including recruitment, appraisals, and professional development.
  • Manage staffing and operational budgets, and recommend capital purchases as needed, As a college, our strategy is to create a Career Focused, Digital Learning environment, ensuring that the learner experience and our relationship within our community, local and regional employers, are at the heart of everything we do.     Degree-level or relevant professional qualification; full teaching qualification in a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in curriculum management, development, and improving quality standards within Further Education.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • The right candidate will have:
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Prior experience with Ofsted/ALI Inspections and partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of leadership strategies with a track record of promoting College values and behaviours.
