Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Customer Account Manager to join our team. This hybrid role involves overseeing and nurturing relationships with key temperature-controlled customer accounts primarily located in West Wales, Newport, and Bicester. The role requires regular travel between depots and customer premises for face-to-face meetings, combined with some working from home. The position of Customer Account Manager involves:
- Oversee and nurture relationships with our key temperature controlled customer accounts, primarily located in West Wales, Newport & Bicester ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. (This is a hybrid role with some working from home)
- Travel between our depots and customer premises for face-to-face meetings, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
- Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will assist in the realisation of group strategies and drive an agenda of continuous improvement, solution optimisation and sustainability.
- Collaborate closely with operations managers to align strategies and ensure seamless customer service delivery.
- Conduct weekly calls/meetings with customers to review performance, address concerns, and explore opportunities for growth.
- Liaise with depot customer service teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of customer queries and issues.
- Work closely with Sales and Business Development Manager to develop strategies for account retention and expansion.
- Facilitate the smooth onboarding process for new customer accounts, ensuring a seamless transition and alignment with their expectations.
- Collaborate with our partners to meet sales targets and maintain a customer-centric focus, leveraging collaboration and opportunities for mutual growth.
- Utilise Excel database to track account information, performance metrics, and sales data to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Proven experience in key account management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong strategic focus and continuous improvement experience.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
- Working to deadlines.
- Solution driven and Flexible approach to your work.
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Highly proficient with MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Remuneration package worth between £50,000pa - £55,000pa, depending on experience. Plus company car allowance. - Hours of work: Monday to Friday, from 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs.
