Full Job Description
We're looking for people who,
- Be spending your day greeting and engaging with our Waitrose customer whilst delivering their shopping with a smile.
- Operate your vehicle in a safe, legal and economical manner always.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks accurately and follow correct defect procedures.
- From delivery to fuelling and checking the van for your route or giving a customer a call so they know what time their shopping will arrive, everything we do is with our customers in mind.
- To deal with any queries or complaints in a courteous and efficient manner
- Work towards deliveries in line with key performance indicators (KPI's) The role is hands on, will involve heavy lifting/ handling and full of variety. No two shifts are ever the same - customers look for help in all kinds of different ways.
- Are over 18 years old who has a full manual UK driving license (for a minimum of 6 months) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Have excellent customer service skills who enjoys helping people.
- Have excellent communication skills
- Enjoys helping others and working in a team
- Have a great knowledge of the Highway code
- Previous driving experience welcomed.
- Results orientated and can work to schedules
- Understands the basics and importance of Health and Safety procedures
- Able to lift and handle goods
- Can take the initiative and use common sense
- Has a good degree of literacy and numeracy
- Can stay calm under pressure
- Are safe and courteous driver who can deliver our outstanding service right to our customers' doors, then we want to hear from you!
