Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a people focused individual to join our In-House Maintenance function as a Customer Liaison Officer. This is a great role for individuals who have experience building rapport with customers, allowing us to provide an efficient maintenance service to their property therefore helping ensure it remains a place they are proud to call home. We are proud to say we have recently been named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list, within the Big Organisations category (The Times). As a Customer Liaison Officer you will:

  • Travel to Midland Heart properties to provide expert advice and support to tenants in relation to disrepair works, including Damp & Mould.
  • Liaise with tenants to resolve no access issues and ensure we are able to enter properties to provide the necessary support and care.
  • Resolve customer complaints and communicate with our tenants via a network of channels including over email, face to face and over the phone.
  • Work with our tenants to develop action plans to mitigate the risk of disrepair works reoccuring.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and management to monitor progress and provide detailed reports.

Our ideal candidate? We're seeking a candidate who is passionate about delivering a brilliant customer service and has a strong foundation of knowledge in a maintenance setting. Please upload a copy of your CV alongside a Covering Letter highlighting the following:
  • Experience working with customers in a face-to-face setting.
  • Experience completing administrative based tasks including collating data, reporting to senior management and managing emails.
  • A proven record of managing and resolving complaints.
  • Experience or knowledge of maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to Damp & Mould.
  • Please note, the suitable candidate must be able to demonstrate their ability to regularly travel across the Midland Heart geography.

Who are Midland Heart? We're one team working together for our tenants; a large and ambitious housing organisation providing more people an affordable place to call home. We welcome people from every walk of life, at every stage of their career. We expect a lot from our people but in return you can be assured of a great place to work, where you will be well rewarded and where great people are able to succeed. Whether you want to build your career with us, or use your experience to move on, we're here to develop your potential.
