Diageo invests significantly in to creating and executing winning campaigns and activations at the point of purchase, partnering with our retail partners to deliver for our joint shoppers and consumers, the retailer and the category and Diageo. Most shoppers and consumers buy from a repertoire of brands and their behaviour can be influenced by what they see or don't see at the point of purchase. It is the role of the Off-trade Customer Marketing team to work closely with our off-trade customer teams to understand the needs of shoppers and customers and then collaborate with the shopper marketing team to create the programmes and tools that guarantee amazing execution of our brands at the point of purchase. The Customer Marketing team will then work directly with customers, supply and agencies to project manage perfect execution of the commercial calendar. In some cases, this will require us tailoring and adapting our programmes and tools to meet the specific needs of strategically important customers to enable them to differentiate their offer. As a Customer Marketing Manager, you will sit within the Commercial function and right at the heart of our business, supporting and working as business partners with our sales teams to ensure they have all the insight, growth drivers & tools they need to deliver brilliant execution of Diageo's commercial plan to shift consumer & shopper behaviour and help Diageo achieve its financial and market share ambition. This role has direct responsibility for all activation within Tesco and Tesco Express. Top Accountabilities
- Manage A&P budget, tracking ROI metrics and Diageo P&L impact through WD and Forecast cycle.
- Build and maintain a calendar of Brand and Portfolio Activation events for the customer team.
- Measure & Evaluate impact and success of campaigns.
- Inspire your customer with forward-thinking plans and solutions that help unlock brilliant execution at the point of purchase, aligning to our commercial plan and business priorities.
- To lead tailored and differentiated execution plans.
- Support the commercial team with sell-in of innovation and design brilliant activation plans in store and online for launch and beyond
- Build and nurture external contact relationships with the customer planning managers and commercial team at Tesco, as well as managing the relationship with the customers media agency.
- To project manage and oversee (either directly or through support of wider team) the planning, delivery and execution of POS and activation toolkits, ensuring we meet customer guidelines and lead times.
proven experience in a customer marketing role within a sales function. FMCG experience preferred - desire to build and execute game-changing plans - someone who wants to win!
