Full Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide customer service and clerical support to Department Managers and staff, helping to ensure accuracy of data to support decision making and facilitate compliance to college processes and procedures. Main Duties · Provide front of house services including meeting and welcoming visitors and learners to the department, answering the telephone, and receiving and dealing with staff requests by email or face to face. · Deal with routine enquiries in a friendly and helpful way. Where necessary direct calls to the appropriate staff or take messages and pass them on efficiently and accurately. · Carry out electronic and paper based filing and other routine clerical tasks as requested. · Enrol learners using management information systems and produce and issue badges. · Sort and distribute post to appropriate members of staff on a daily basis. · Manage room bookings. · Manage the supply and distribution of department stationery. · Produce lesson resources as directed by staff. · Support academic and support staff with exam invigilation. · Process fee and exam payments. · Infrequently provide evening cover for learner enrolments. · Infrequently support with department open days and evenings. · Attend college wide apprenticeship meetings. · Represent the department in an efficient and professional manner. · Flexibility to allow the department to cover other duties as necessary. · Participate in relevant and appropriate training and development as required.
