Permanent post within our Discovery Team (22.5 average weekly hours)

We are seeking highly a motivated individual to join our enthusiastic and dedicated Customer Service Assistants teams. We are recruiting for a permanent post working at Discovery Museum

Successful applicants will deliver a high standard of customer service across our venues. Post holders will be expected to undertake a range of activities associated with the general operation of TWAM's museums and galleries, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, answering enquires and providing information and assistance on the service and activities within the venue. Post holders will also explain exhibits and displays, demonstrate interactive exhibits and may undertake group guided tours, as well as actively promoting retail and fundraising activities to encourage visitor spend. Operating a till, handling and reconciling payments and stock control in accordance with financial procedures will also be part of the role, as will assisting with the moving and handling of collections and exhibits and the installation of exhibitions and displays.

Applicants will have numeracy, literacy and basic IT skill as well as experience in a visitor-facing role and commitment to engaging with visitors.

Appointees will be required to work to a 28-day roster pattern which will include regular Saturdays and Sundays.
