Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint a fulltime Customer Service Reception Assistant with additional administrator duties to join our team at our West Suffolk House office in Bury St Edmunds.
The role will involve welcoming visitors that are attending pre-booked appointments or Council meetings. Supporting customers to access the relevant Council support, including promoting the use of self-serve options and providing digital assistance if needed. Transactional and administrative tasks to support the wider Customer Services Team.

As the first point of contact the successful candidate must have previous experience of customer service and delivering an admin role, be helpful, courteous and professional at all times. You will need to use your own initiative as well as working effectively with the wider team. You must possess good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
You must have excellent IT skills and the ability to effectively manage your workload according to business priorities. Training will be provided for the various systems we use.
