Are you looking for a position in which you keep things moving and deliver when it matters most? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as Customer Service Specialist Apprentice., We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Specialist Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship will give you the chance to learn all aspects of our terminal and warehouse gatehouses, gaining the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role.

You will be responsible for the:

Learn and master the terminal and warehouse gatehouse systems to efficiently manage operations.

Book traffic in and out of terminals and warehouses.

Liaise and resolve issues with customers, internal departments, and external stakeholders, both face-to-face and through electronic communication.

Manage visitor and contractor control, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and legal requirements.

Perform administrative duties and collate information for management.

Conduct ISPS checks and contribute positively to the business.

Ideally, though not essential, some background in transport logistics and warehousing would be beneficial. Strong IT skills are required, and candidates must be confident in using Microsoft platforms, including Word and Excel, with the ability to demonstrate these skills either through a course certificate or practical experience. The ideal candidate will have 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications. Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills are essential for the role, making it perfect for an outgoing person who wants to be part of a growing, proactive team. The ability to stay calm under pressure, work independently, manage time and tasks efficiently, and embrace change with a positive attitude is highly desirable. Flexibility in undertaking various tasks is a must.
