Full Job Description
The University of Roehampton is recruiting a Cyber Analyst to join our collaborative and dedicated Cyber Services team. This is an exciting time to join the team as we play a critical role in securing the university's cyber environment and supporting its strategic growth.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on delivering excellence in cyber defence and enjoys working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving field. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and investigating security incidents, implementing security controls, and collaborating with the IT department to maintain the university's security infrastructure. In this role, your ability to stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats and provide insightful guidance to internal departments will be crucial.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents, conducting thorough investigations and analyses.
2. Implement and maintain security controls to protect university systems and data.
3. Monitor security logs for suspicious activities and conduct research on emerging threats.
4. Collaborate with internal teams, providing cybersecurity advice and incident response support.
The successful candidate will have skills and experience in:
1. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, systems administration, and network security.
2. Supporting and leading in incident investigation and a commitment to knowledge-sharing within the team.
3. Excellent communication skills for guiding internal departments and conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders., Disability Confident
