This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of our digital infrastructure, enabling us to continue delivering impactful STEM initiatives effectively.,

• Lead efforts to help the organization achieve Cyber Essentials certification by conducting a gap analysis and implementing necessary measures.
• Assess and enhance the organization's existing cybersecurity policies, processes, and tools to align with best practices.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement security guidelines and documentation to educate team members on best practices.
• Monitor and respond to potential security threats and incidents, providing actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the secure handling and storage of sensitive data.
• Support the implementation of secure access controls, network security measures, and system configurations.
  
  Digital and IT strategy
• Network / system management, Background in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (formal qualifications and equivalent experience welcomed).
• Familiarity with Cyber Essentials certification requirements or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of security tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a remote team.
