Full Job Description
The Digital & IT Strategy Manager is accountable for the definition, articulation and delivery of the Digital & IT strategy, in full collaboration with the architecture domain leads, markets and group functions. The role manages strategic alignment between D&IT, networks, local markets and security on behalf of the Strategy & Architecture team. The individual in this role ensures the strategy is executed effectively, through major initiatives at both a global and a local level. The role requires the creation of high-quality, in-depth collateral to convey the strategy including white papers, proposals, reports and presentations. This role enables SLT, Technology Committee and ExCo decision making. Therefore, a demonstrably deep understanding of technology, strategy communications, storytelling, objective setting, commercial management and exceptional influencing skills are essential. What you'll do
- Defining the Digital & IT Strategy in conformance with architecture standards, policies and processes.
- Own the creation of outstanding strategic collateral and supporting materials to enable SLT & ExCo decision making.
- Lead engagement with strategy stakeholders define and communicate the strategy,
- Own continuous improvement of IT Strategy & engagement of the IT workforce in our global communities.
Ability and experience to engage with SLT and ExCo members on key strategy and architecture recommendations, risk, issues and dependencies, in order to influence at senior and technical expert level across Vodafone. - Capability to understand, monitor and influence strategy definition and its execution through the delivery of architectural complex initiatives.
- Capability to operate in a highly technical environment e.g. have, or gain understanding and competency in digital architecture governance, associated technologies, and agile methodologies in order to communicate effectively with senior expert stakeholders (e.g. senior engineers & architects) and at all levels
- Proficiency in various technology domains relevant to the organization, such as, Digital, IT, Networks, cloud, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both written and spoken English. Able to gain influence at senor technical expert levels, adjusting own style to suit audience and achieve objective. Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Academic Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar, Master's degree or MBA preferable.
- 3+ years of experience within IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, or specific experience in strategy definition and/or execution, TOGAF certification is preferred.
- Up-to-date certifications in Agile Way of Working, with working knowledge of SAFe, SCRUM, Spotify model etc.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Mural etc).
