D365 Lead Functional Consultant for Finance

The D365 Lead Functional Consultant for Finance on our Highlander Programme is a project role and will sit within our newly created Platform and Solution Team. He / she will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimisation of financial modules within D365. This role involves collaborating with businesses and our global programme team to ensure we capture local tax, legal and fiscal requirements and translate these into effective solutions. Throughout each local deployment the role will also need to guide local resources through the implementation process of our global solution and localisations. The consultant will serve as the subject matter expert in D365 finance and play a critical role in project delivery, ensuring the seamless integration of Dynamics 365 into business operations. Working closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers this role is pivotal to ensure that solutions align with business objectives, technical standards, local regulatory requirements and our global solution design. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and a deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics D365 across finance modules in a manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proven experience in leading teams is essential. The D365 Lead Functional Consultant for finance will take ownership of all aspects of the D365 Solution for the finance modules.

• Configure and showcase finance solutions to demonstrate how the solution meets Morgan business requirements.
• Strong D365 Finance and AX implementation experience with hands on experience
• Collaborate with the data team with respect to finance data entities
• Own the configuration of the finance modules
• Document and own the delivery of the Finance elements of the Global Solution Design Document and all associated artifacts including production of all FDD's Functional Design Documents.
• Participate and ensure successful delivery in all programme activities from build, data migration, testing, training and post go live support.
• Mentor and manage other consultants within the finance area of the solution team.
• Active participation in the development of functional design documentation and technical specifications, unit and system test scripts, deployment plans and test execution
• Facilitate functional sessions as required for the programme team and businesses.
Responsibilities Responsibilities:
• Lead one or many local implementations from a finance perspective though all programme phases
• Collaborate with business units to aid their adoption of the global financial processes and alleviate pain points.
• Provide expert knowledge in financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, and Budgeting.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, Global Process Owners, technical teams, developers, and other consultants to ensure seamless solution delivery.
• Deliver training on D365 functionality as required throughout the Highlander deployment to ensure system adoption.
• Ensure all deliverables meet programme requirements and adhere to best practices and industry standards. Participate as required in the programme Design Authority and provide expert advice and guidance to aid decision-making.
• Stay updated on the latest Dynamics 365 features, updates, and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency in financial operations.
  
  Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or AX, with a focus on financial modules.
Education: Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Certifications: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certification preferred. Technical Skills:
• Good knowledge of Azure DevOps. Knowledge of other complementary Microsoft tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of the data entities associated with the finance modules.
• In-depth understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
• Strong expertise in configuring and customising Dynamics 365 Finance modules.
• Knowledge of workflows, reporting tools and financial consolidation tools within D365.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within deadlines.
Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
