Data & AI Specialist

We're looking for a Data & AI Specialist to join our team. You'll work as a discipline lead within cross-functional distributed teams, using data and AI technologies to create impactful solutions. We're looking for someone able to use data and AI to transform businesses and improve people's lives.

As a Data & AI Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of our data initiatives, bringing a mix of technical expertise and strategic thinking to help guide our organisation's data and AI efforts. You'll play a crucial role in mentoring team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and helping our clients understand the value and applications of data-driven technologies.

What you are responsible for

• Leading the development and implementation of data and AI strategies across projects


• Designing and overseeing the creation of data pipelines, machine learning models, and AI-powered solutions


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data and AI capabilities into existing products and services


• Mentoring and upskilling team members in data science and AI technologies


• Ensuring best practices in data governance, privacy, and ethical AI development


• Contributing to business development efforts by helping to identify and pursue data and AI opportunities


• Collaborating with the wider Futurice Data and AI community and growing the Data/AI practice in the UK
  
  Strong foundation in data science, machine learning, and AI concepts


• Hands-on experience with data analysis, visualization, and modeling tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL)


• Familiarity with cloud-based data and AI platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)


• Understanding of GenAI technologies and applications, e.g.:

+ Large Language Models (LLMs)
+ Natural Language Processing (NLP)
+ Computer Vision
+ Generative Models (e.g., GANs, Diffusion Models)
+ RAG solutions

• Some experience with data engineering concepts and tools


• Knowledge of software development practices and version control systems (e.g., Git), Our Culture - We are human first.   Competitive salary benchmarked externally and internally for salary fairness: our Lead level banding is £75,000-£100,000
