Full Job Description

We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to take ownership of the OCP Sales and Marketing Data product. You will be responsible for modelling data to create reusable assets for stakeholders across multiple product groups, prioritising long-term solutions over urgent/tactical PowerBI reports. You will also play a key role in creating and maintaining PowerBI reports to ensure stakeholders have the data they need to make effective decisions. Additionally, you will provide thought leadership in the Domain Council, championing the usage of the data product.

What you will be doing

  • Data Product Ownership & Modelling: Work with the OCP Sales and Marketing technology team to understand data sets and add value to in-flight initiatives. Ensure the Sales and Marketing Data product is modelled accurately and is easily consumable.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop a deep understanding of each business area and leverage this knowledge to suggest ways to reduce costs and increase revenue using analytics-based insights. Maintain clear and frequent communication with stakeholders to manage expectations.

  • Reporting and Monitoring: Create and maintain PowerBI reports, actively monitor failed reports, and investigate and apply appropriate fixes. Ensure that the outputs meet stakeholders' intended purposes and engage with stakeholders who are not utilising the outputs.

  • Documentation and Process Migration: Document all processes and outputs created, adhere to the team's change control process, and migrate existing analytics processes to Power BI and/or Synapse Analytics whenever possible.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data engineering to source all data from the "One Data Platform" (ODP). Identify any sources not currently integrated into ODP and work with engineering to include them.

    Strong formal modelling skills.

  • Experience in creating reusable assets and focusing on long-term solutions.

  • Proficiency in Power BI and/or Synapse Analytics.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into actionable outputs.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to effectively document processes.

  • Desirable skills
  • Familiarity with the banking industry and revenue-generating functions.

  • Knowledge of data engineering principles and practices.

  • Proficient in SQL.

  • Experience in Microsoft Cloud-based tools for Analytics (e.g., Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services).

  • Knowledge and use of Python in exploring and manipulating data.
