Full Job Description
Due to a year of substantial growth, we currently have an exciting opening for you to join our highly skilled and collaborative team as a Data Analyst in our fantastic DAF Fleet Services organisation in Devizes. We are part of one of the largest and most respected DAF dealer groups in Europe and DAF are the largest truck manufacturer in the UK with record growth and award winning trucks year on year. We offer our clients bespoke Fleet Management Solutions to improve their operations and allow them to focus on their business requirements. As a Data Analyst, we can offer you, The Data Analyst is responsible for driving DAF Fleet Services' business improvement and decision making through providing data-driven insights within the Business Change department. You will work with large datasets to analyse and manipulate data to provide actionable data visualisation in a clear and actionable manner, maintaining effective relationships across the stakeholder environment. Implement the agreed change agenda, working to project plans & milestones, and monitoring progress to enabling seamless implementation and successful completion of objectives. Engage stakeholders at all levels, fostering collaboration and buy-in from senior management, employees, and external partners and ensure data and reporting are in place to support the effective delivery of business change projects. Generate and align business reporting to current requirements and incorporate data trends for future improvement opportunity identification. A key enabler in establishing feasibility and output of business activity and support of management through data lead intelligence and provision of business reporting through the department. Collaborate with all departments within DAF Fleet Services to understand their data needs, ensuring effective communication between business units and change management. Drive Operational Improvement, Identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to optimise business data outputs. Identify and implement improvements in data collection methods and processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across systems. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisation tools to provide real-time insights and support business decisions to meet strategic objectives. Maintain a continuous desire to review and implement new technologies, such as AI, through the business to improve efficiency. Working Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm.
- Highly proficient in MS excel and other MS applications.
- Experience and knowledge of using data visualisation and low code dev tools such as Power Apps, Power BI, Qlik View, Tableau (or similar).
- High level of commercial understanding and acumen.
- Strong understanding of SQL, relational databases and data warehousing.
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform deep analysis.
- Experience with front end automation tools such as Power Automate (or similar).
- Familiarity with statistical methods and experience in conducting statistical and trend analysis.
- Problem solving and critical thinking - strong ability to identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in data to provide actionable insights. Can find solutions to issues by thinking out of the box.
- Excellent data analyst, communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders. Engage and work with cross-functional teams.
- A recognised Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related field would be preferred but not essential.
A salary of £32,000 - £36,000 (depending on your Data Analyst experience) - Excellent DAF Data Analyst training & development opportunities - in house and manufacturer's
