Full Job Description

Are you passionate about using evidence to make a difference? We're looking for a leader who gets excited about innovative ways to use routine data, who has the drive and vision to make our data findable, accessible and usable for research, and who can convince others to support their approach. With your help, we'll make it easy to use data and evidence to change policy and services in Tower Hamlets to reduce health inequalities.

We're delighted to be recruiting for Data & Analytics Infrastructure Manager to join our growing and dynamic Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) team. The goal of the HDRC is to use research to help tackle health inequalities in London's fastest growing and most densely-populated borough.

You will be at the heart of our trailblazing programme, building research and evidence infrastructure and bringing it to life with impactful projects.

This post will manage a small team of data professionals, leading the delivery of data and digital infrastructure to drive the work and priorities of the HDRC. You will work closely with data and intelligence functions across the council, with our university partners and with community stakeholders. Collaborative working across systems and sectors is at the heart of Tower Hamlets' HDRC, so we are looking for leaders who relish the opportunity to join the team and work in this way.

About Tower Hamlets:

Tower Hamlets' vision for our borough is that: people are aspirational, independent and have equal access to opportunities; we are a borough that our residents are proud of and love to live in; and we are a dynamic, outcomes-based council using digital innovation and partnership working to respond to the changing needs of our borough. We want people who aspire to our TOWER values: Together; Open; Willing; Excellent; Respect.

Tower Hamlets has a zero-tolerance approach to, and works to eradicate, all forms of discrimination on the basis of race, sex, disability, age, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marital status, status as a civil partner, gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy and maternity and looks to employ a diverse workforce representative of those groups. We recognise that people can also be disadvantaged by their social and economic circumstances, so we will work to eliminate discrimination and disadvantage caused by social class.

We welcome applicants interested in flexible working arrangements and also applicants who live in the borough.
