Data Architect (Migration from Mainframe to AWS)

Understand the current (as-is) DB2 database on IBM Mainframe and define the roadmap to migrate it to PostgreSQL on AWS Cloud.
Design an end-to-end approach for migrating data from the on-premises DB2 database to PostgreSQL DB on AWS Cloud.
Create an approach for parallel operations of DB2 (as-is DB) and PostgreSQL (to-be DB) until the final cutover.
Understand Java Micro-service architecture and design an efficient and optimized PostgreSQL DB.
Guide application designers, developers, and testers to ensure smooth data migration with minimal disruption to business services.
Collaborate with the Technology Lead, Architecture, and Design Leads to present the migration design and seek necessary approvals.

Hands-on experience with Java programming, particularly Server Side development using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
Expertise in data decomposition patterns, entity creation, ER diagrams, cardinality, normalization, PDMS, and LDMS representation.
Experience programming with polymorphic data types and ADTs.
Hands-on experience with AWS tools such as DMS and SCT, with proficiency in both relational and NoSQL databases.
Strong experience with DB2 and PostgreSQL databases.
Expertise in data migration testing tools.
In-depth knowledge of AWS, including experience with AWS multi-availability zones.
Data migration experience is essential.
