Full Job Description

Technician responsible for implementing Building & Plant maintenance works.,

  • To perform planned maintenance tasks.
  • To perform reactive repair & maintenance tasks.
  • To respond to BMS generated alarms and faults.
  • To follow H & S Policy and Safe Systems of Work Procedures.
  • To manage sub-contractors.
  • Read and understand sub-contractor risk assessments and method statements.
  • Secondary Responsibilities
  • To undertake regular testing of Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Perform the duties of an Accompanying Safety Person.
  • Monthly emergency light testing.
  • Inspection and maintenance of air handling units
  • Monthly emergency light testing.

    Essentia l
  • Qualified to NVQ level 4 or equivalent in a technical discipline.
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical maintenance experience.
  • 18TH Edition amendment no2
  • Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures.
  • PC literacy, MS Office, safety culture
  • Ability to obtain MoD security clearance.
  • Desirable
  • Operational experience of HV & LV systems, standby power, UPS, chilled water & gas systems.
  • Working knowledge of PAT Testing.
  • Aptitudes
  • 'Hands on' approach.
  • Self motivated.
  • Levelheaded.
  • Team worker.
  • PC literate.
