Full Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join the team here on Critical Care at Northampton General Hospital.
You will be joining our forward thinking and dynamic team of professionals to facilitate the service to grow., To collect and collate Critical Care data in order to provide relevant reports and information to stakeholders and the team.
To ensure that data is timely, up to date and compliant with Trust and network
requirements.

This ensures everyone feels supported and has a sense of belonging working for Kettering and Northampton General Hospitals., The post-holder must play a proactive role in collecting, investigating, verifying, and recording a high standard of patient demographic and treatment data.
The post holder must accurately and in a timely manner enter such information on the computerised patient information system, to ensure that the trust receives the appropriate level of income for patient activity.
The post-holder must undertake effective forward planning, to ensure that the administrative needs of the service are met and must carry out a range of effective administration processes to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Collect data on patient stay and enter data onto the Critical Care information system.
Ensure that information entered onto system is timely and accurate, ensure that any errors are rectified.
Ensure that monthly reports are sent to the appropriate place in a timely fashion.
Send quarterly data to the Intensive Care national Audit and Research Centre
(ICNARC) and distribute quarterly reports to management.
Help to train and support staff using the system to ensure timely and accurate inputting of data.
Assist system users with research and audit projects as required.
Liaise with trust IT department to solve technical issues. Perform any other duties deemed necessary for this role to maintain health and safety and operative functions of the Trust.
At Northampton General Hospital we provide general acute services and hyper-acute stroke, vascular and renal services to people living in Northamptonshire. As well as this we are an accredited cancer centre and provide cancer services to a wider population of Northamptonshire and parts of Buckinghamshire.
