We are embarking on a comprehensive transformation program designed to drive significant advancements in our business operations and technology landscape. Our primary goal is to transition from our current reliance on legacy systems and specialised off-the-shelf tools to a more integrated, AI-driven, and data-centric operational model.
Leveraging insights and guidance from our other technically mature entities like Kraken and OE, we plan to adopt cutting-edge tools and capabilities, particularly in AI and Python-driven solutions.
By investing in a diverse range of skills-from data scientists and AI specialists to business analysts-we aim to create a hybrid team capable of operating in both our legacy and future environments, ultimately transforming OEGEN into an efficient, data-driven organisation.
We are seeking a proficient and innovative Data Engineer to join our Transformation Team. This role is pivotal for designing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated data solutions that elevate the operational effectiveness of our portfolio investments and management teams. The successful candidate will excel in developing data pipelines, executing system integrations, and could potentially engage in developing applications using our current and future tech stack.,

  • Data Pipeline Development: Construct and sustain scalable data pipelines to ensure data integrity and availability across the organisation.

  • Database Management: Oversee dbt SQL data models and manage sophisticated data storage architectures.

  • Automation and Tooling: Use Python and other scripting languages to automate data processes and enhance workflow efficiency.

  • Performance Reporting: Generate advanced reports and performance dashboards using tools likeStreamlit & Power BI to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Data Governance: Champion data quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with both industry standards and organizational policies.

  • Collaboration: Engage with teams such as Finance, Asset Management, and Fund Management to ensure alignment of data solutions with business objectives

    Technical Expertise: Strong skills in data architecture and pipeline development, with extensive experience in SQL, Python, and familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.

  • Data Management: Deep understanding of data modelling, data integrity, and data governance practices.

  • Innovative Thinking: A robust enthusiasm for employing cutting-edge technologies to address challenges and foster innovation within a dynamic environment.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent capability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

  • Additional favoured skills:
  • Full-stack Development: Experience in full-stack development is preferred, particularly with technologies like Streamlit, and an openness to learning and incorporating Django as it becomes part of our tech stack.

  • API Mastery:Significant experience in API development and management, with a knack for integrating a variety of systems and improving data accessibility.
