Who we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has opened to join the Data Team at Star Academies. The team is dedicated to harnessing the power of data and intelligence to drive informed decision-making across the Trust. We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team and help us expand and enhance our contributions to the Trust.

As a Data Engineer, you will lead the implementation and delivery of a data warehousing solution for the Trust. As Star Academies continues to grow, so does the demand for efficient data management. This role is integral to our digital transformation strategy, aimed at revolutionising how we interact with data and systems to enable real-time, data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

This is an exciting time to join the Data Team at Star Academies, as our family of schools continues to grow rapidly. You would become a part of one of the highest-performing multi-academy trusts in the country, serving over 25,000 pupils across more than 35 schools.

You will have:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline and evidence of continuous professional development.

  • Experience working with the Microsoft Azure platform and related technologies.

  • Experience of working to implement data warehousing solutions and ETL architecture.

  • Experience of working on IT and transformative projects within a large organisation.

  • A strong commitment to teamwork and ensuring sustainable, transformative work.

  • About Star Academies

We are a values-based organisation that works to improve the life chances of young people in areas of social and economic deprivation to help them succeed at the highest levels of education, employment and the professions. Every single day you'll be rewarded with the opportunity to shape a young person's future - our STAR values embody what we believe is needed to succeed.

Professional development is key to our ongoing success, so we continually invest in our employees through our learning and development centre, Star Institute. With a wealth of training, mentoring and progression opportunities across a growing group of academies, joining our team of leading education experts could propel your career to the next level.

We can also offer you a range of rewards and benefits, including competitive salaries and pension schemes, generous holiday entitlements and healthcare cash plans.
