Be part of the force's expanding Information Services team Nottinghamshire Police has recently invested in its Information Services team, its people and the structure. We provide technologies and IT services that directly impact operational policing. From the equipment that frontline officers require to be able to make decisions on the street, big data and analytics, 999/101 Control Room services, technologies that support digital investigations and everything in between! Information Services is at the heart of it all! If you are looking for the chance to work on something that will test your skills and teach you some new ones, then this is the role for you. You will be analysing, manipulating and interpreting data within complex data structures as well as preparing insightful outputs for both internal and external use. To succeed in this role, you will need to be an experienced Data Engineer and strong communicator, happy to work with stakeholders across the business and design and develop data solutions which enable accurate and robust reporting and improve decision making. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the data team. We are motivated by exploiting the technology to support and improve the Policing service provided to the community of Nottinghamshire.   • Experienced in implementing Data Pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Working in a complex environment, with proven experience of collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge and experience of working in both private and public cloud environments, and specific tools including T-SQL, NoSQL, PLSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Data Factory, Fabric (LakeHouse, Databricks etc.)
