Full Job Description

  • Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT processes using integration tools.
  • Manage data pipelines, ensuring the timely and accurate flow of data from sources such as APIs, Magento, various databases (sql, mySQL, Postgres, Dynamo DB) & Google Analytics to the data warehouse.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the data warehouse using Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Implement data governance and security measures.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement data modelling best practices to support analytical reporting and business intelligence needs.
  • Develop and maintain data models, interactive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI / SSRS.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices.

    5+ Years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, produce requirements / solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Be able to demonstrate good understanding of business operations and strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and without supervision.
  • Experienced in the Microsoft BI Stack, including SQL Server, Synapse / Fabric
  • Experience of Microsoft Azure and other cloud vendors.
  • Advanced SQL & DAX knowledge including performance tuning.
  • Able to extract & process data from APIs using python or other language.
  • Experienced in the design & build of data warehouses / Data Lakes including structured / semi-structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Highly proficient in data modelling.

  • As a Data Engineer, this role will focus on leading the development of solutions and helping transform the company's platforms to deliver data-driven, meaningful insights and value. Using the Microsoft BI Stack, you will be involved in maintaining both on-premise solutions as well as designing and migrating the solutions to the cloud.
