Full Job Description

As a Data Engineering Automation Lead, you will be looking after a team to deliver wider capability across Aviva. The role currently sites within Solutions Team in IWR which works on enablement and helps introduction of new technologies in our tech stack.

You are someone who should have good expertise in data on cloud (AWS Preferable), and someone who can demonstrate experience around CI/CD & modern DEVOPS platforms like ADO. You will be looking after a team of 4, so experience of being able to motivate, manage and assist your team is key. Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Integration experience with cloud technologies in AWS, EMR-FS, S3, SQS, Lambda (AWS preferable) from ADO. ADO Experience is a must.
  • Demonstrable experience in Jenkins, proficient in programming languages PYTHON, and understands data driven solutions and principles. Have done integrations before across technologies like ADO, JENKINS, STASH & JIRA.
  • Demonstrable experience across TEST/REGRESSION automation frameworks and integration is a must; Proficient in APIs.
  • Awareness of CLOUD OLAP platforms and demonstrable experience in SQL.
  • Proven Leadership and management experience; Previously worked within Financial services sector (preferred, not essential)
