Full Job Description
As our Data Governance Analyst you will play a crucial role in helping colleagues understand the importance of data in achieving Sage's strategic goals. You will work closely with the Data Governance Manager, and assist in implementing our Data Governance and Quality Framework, including onboarding technical metadata. Also, you'll support our global data community by providing guidance on data compliance, approvals, and embedding data governance practices throughout the data management lifecycle.
We're seeking someone with hands-on experience in a Data Governance framework, whether as a generalist, specialist, or working with data within such a framework. You should understand good data management practices, including data lifecycle, quality management, and architecture, and be knowledgeable about databases, storage solutions, and data warehousing for business intelligence. Effective stakeholder management is key, so you'll need to communicate data governance updates clearly across various platforms. Additionally, you should be aware of regulatory requirements like GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS., We are looking for candidates with a background in hands-on data development, a solid understanding of data governance principles, and knowledge of data privacy and security.
- Lead key Data Governance initiatives and collaborate globally to embed best practices.
- Ensure consistent and accurate metadata, while monitoring quality and compliance metrics.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure data usage aligns with policies and regulations.
- Contribute to policy development and act as a deputy for the Data Governance Manager as needed.
