Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data and Insight Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Intelligence Manager to analyse data, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is crucial in driving our strategic initiatives by providing actionable insights through comprehensive data analysis.
The position is based between Northampton Mitie HQ NN4 7SL, remote working and our various site locations. The role may require travel for sites around the United Kingdom for meetings and training sessions., Data Analysis: Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
-Reporting: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to communicate findings and create comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
-Data Management: Oversee the accurate collection, validation, and organisation of data from diverse sources. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by managing and creating new datasets.
-Insight Generation: Translate data findings into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
-Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Contribute to and support the budgeting, planning and forecasting processes.
-Tool Utilisation: Utilise various data analysis tools and software to perform your duties effectively.
-Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices in data analysis, identify opportunities for process optimisation, continually enhancing reporting processes, and adapting to dynamic data demands.
-Training and Support: Provide training and support to other team members on data-related topics.
-Crime Analytics: Utilise critical thinking and knowledge of crime and offending to investigate and analyse crime data to make vital recommendations to reduce crime rates and threat, risk and harm to our colleagues and customers.
Advanced Excel and data manipulation / analysis skills including VBA's and Power Query
-Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges related to data interpretation, analysis, and reporting.
-Interest in Business Intelligence and analytical tools such as Power BI
-Ideally experience in the Crime Analysis or Data Analysis fields.
-High attention to detail and strongly self-motivated
-Must be able to work to strict and tight deadlines
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience.
