Job Purpose
You will be responsible for step changing our data capabilities with the support of, and access to, senior stakeholders in the UK and further afield. In this role you will be responsible for the management, maintenance and integrity of our sales information databases. You will operate at the epicentre of the commercial team and provide timely and insightful financial and analytical support across multiple areas of the business. The reports and data visualisations that you will produce will have a real impact on every day business decisions.

What you will do

-Accountable for managing the sales data production process each month, to service the commercial teams and their customers.
-Owner of all customer master data and integration of product hierarchy. Liaising with all external data sources i.e. wholesalers/customers to maintain data integrity and accuracy at SKU and vet clinic/pet shop level at all times.
-Be fully integrated in the commercial team thus proactively anticipating the required changes in data management as a result of operating in ever changing retail environments.
-Immerse yourself in understanding business goals and end user needs, driving discussions with different stakeholders to understand data content, processes and business requirements in order to develop and implement relevant analytical tools to support across multiple functions.
-Be a key player in the coaching and training program to create a 'self-serve' culture, thus embedding data and analytics into the day to day lexicon.
-Provide ad-hoc support to the Data and Insights Team Lead.
-Help support and manage all sales systems and dashboards. Provide on-going training and support to the commercial team to ensure their correct and accurate usage.

Who you are

-Be degree educated in either; Accountancy, Business, Analytics, Maths or Economics.
-Experienced in data collection, manipulation, reporting and dashboarding.
-Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, with the ability to deal with complex formulae.
-Experience of cloud warehouses/service, data visualisation tools would be an advantage.
-Strong quantitative and analytical skills with real attention to detail.
-Self-motivated and able to work under pressure, dependable with deliverables and deadlines, able to multitask and prioritise accordingly.
-Interested in the bigger picture and commercial backdrop
-Passionate about solving business challenges through technology utilising an agile mindset.
-A deep understanding of business processes and needs, identifying opportunities and generating new ideas that drive simplification and process improvements.
-Great listener and communicator.
-Able to develop and maintain relationships.
-Experience in a retail/ FMCG or multi-site operation is advantageous.
