Full Job Description

  • Reporting to Head of Data Delivery and Enablement, drive the management, administration, and advancement of Sky's data management tools aligned with Sky's Data Strategy.

  • Partner closely with architecture, engineering and technology colleagues to influence design & embedding of data management tooling and best practice in delivery lifecycle

  • Define and maintain documentation related to data management tooling processes, configurations, and security measures.

  • Collaborate with external vendors and stakeholders to ensure the effective integration and optimization of data management tools.

  • Lead SME discussions with the Central Architecture Team on Data Management Tooling Strategy and Design, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and the latest market trends.

  • Drive innovation in data management tools by actively exploring and implementing new technologies and methodologies, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions within the data management tooling landscape.

  • Stay informed on market trend, emerging technologies (e.g. Gen AI) and advancements in the field of data management to support innovation within Sky Group.

    7+ years of proven experience in managing Data Management Tools and Platforms and deep understanding of wide range of Data Management Tooling including use in cloud-based environments

  • Demonstrable experience in data management technologies and advancements, understanding capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses, especially in a Google Cloud environment, including ability to engage with and influence technical teams

  • Leadership experience, able to build and lead a high-performing team of data management tooling developers and administrators.

  • Proven experience of working with external vendors and stakeholders to deliver, enhance and optimize data management tools.

  • Expertise in Data Management Tooling Assessment, Strategy, and Design.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in data management tools and ensuring delivery of secure environments.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts.

  • Proven experience of leading a team coupled with a demonstrable ability to empower as well as the ability to mentor and grow individuals within your team
