If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you., As a Data Liaison Support Officer, you'll be a part of the Data Loading team and wider Data Liaison Team within the National Disease Registration Service (NDRS). You will be responsible for ensuring data are received, loaded and processed in line with standard extract, transform and load (ETL) procedures, the role being to ensure precise and comprehensive data sets pertaining to cancer and rare diseases are available in a timely manner for registration and analysis colleagues within NDRS
The service is an international leader in population-based disease registration, intelligence and monitoring and the post holder will work working collaboratively with various teams and colleagues in NDRS, NHS trusts and other clinical data providers to gain access to sources of disease data and to support the accurate, safe and secure transmission of the information., The skills, knowledge and experience we are particularly interested in for this role are, If you like what you have read and think you have the skills and experience, we need then don't delay, apply today! We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who possess excellent communication skills, strong computing knowledge and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when managing large and varied datasets. The team is located nationally and the job can be based at the following locations: Leeds, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Salisbury, Cambridge., + An awareness of data set / data collection / data quality improvement / data management development / data dissemination principles.
+ Awareness of the importance of Information Governance.
+ An awareness of NHS Data sets/data collections/NHS information systems or data flows.
+ Experience of effective internal and external stakeholder management, building and maintaining relationships through excellent communication
+ Ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands promptly and efficiently, proactively identifying, managing and mitigating any issues and risks in the team's activities.
+ Proficiency in software packages to an intermediate level: MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Access and Powerpoint
