Full Job Description

We are recruiting a Data Operations Senior Manager to work within the Data Design Service. The postholder will lead and manage the NHS Data Model and Dictionary function, which provides the development, maintenance and support of NHS Information Standards. This involves overseeing a small team to manage releases of the NHS Data Model and Dictionary. It also involves communicating updates regarding Information Standards Notices and Data Dictionary Change Notices to the wider NHS., NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.   • Significant experience of reviewing and assuring requirements are fully defined, their impact assessed, and appropriate strategies are in place to ensure delivery in line with stakeholder expectations
  • Experience in translating customer requirement summaries into technical content e.g. data models, business definitions, data elements
  • Significant experience of leadership and management, including the delegation of own and others work to meet tight deadlines, effectively communicating with and motivating the team, clearly determining roles and responsibilities, deliverables, objectives
  • Significant experience of reviewing and providing oversight of technical documentation to ensure it is produced to a suitable standard
  • Highly developed knowledge of Data Operations, able to provide subject matter expertise as required by the business area, on complex issues to senior internal and external stakeholders
