Full Job Description

How would you develop performance monitoring to uncover insights for continuous improvement? We are offering a superb opportunity for a Data & Performance Lead to advance our performance framework and reporting across our expanding Asset Management team. This role will bring a large amount of variation in terms of interrogating datasets, processes and using different tools and techniques to build quality and insightful outputs, together with the flexibility and freedom to handle your own workload. You'll join the Asset Engineering Assurance division, supporting multiple Technical Asset teams who assure the quality of engineering work done for all the assets on the high voltage electricity network across England and Wales. Enabling a multi-billion pound capital plan to be technically assured, resilient against cyber threats, and enabling net zero. Today, that includes c.4,500 miles of overhead line, about 900 miles of underground cable and more than 300 substations. Utilising strong stakeholder management skills, you will play a critical role in transforming our business through data-driven decision- making. Using PowerBI to present your findings in a way which everyone can understand, you'll influence stakeholders with proposals for improvements, develop and implement crucial metrics and KPIs that align with our desired outcomes and performance goals, fostering a culture of self-serve reporting and insight- focused strategies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating new data structures, new processes and building new products for reporting and insights, measuring and monitoring on team performance, and delivering key stakeholder insight reports. Essentially your role as Data and Performance Lead is supporting and enabling the Technical teams, engaging with the right stakeholders to ensure the performance reporting, systems, data and capabilities are fit for purpose. Identify and leading on improvement activities particularly data collation, dashboard creation and performance improvement projects.

To thrive in this role, we are looking for you to have a continuous improvement insight creation background with proven experience of design, architecture, and implementation of suitable data structures for performance reporting. A pro-active problem spotter and solution provider with the drive and tenacity to deliver data and performance improvement projects, creating an environment for continuous success. You'll excel at interacting with all types of people and can adapt your style effortlessly, making an impact at all levels.

  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to take big problem statements and work through to strategic & tactical solutions.
  • Proactive, curious, and uses own initiative to comfortably work autonomously, or as part of broader team/network to deliver outcomes and/or resolve problems.
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and management, working with a variety of seniority levels.
  • Expert data management, manipulation and analytical skills. Proficiency in handling large data sets, understanding data structures, data models, and implementing good data management practices.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance reporting using MS office and Power BI.
  • Excellent consultancy skills and communication of complex material via insight creation, such that complex and critical strategic recommendations are accepted and acted upon

    A competitive salary of £52,972 - £65,000 PA + Benefits package + Training and Development.
