Full Job Description

Working closely with senior legal professionals - including a Senior Solicitor specialising in Commercial Contracts as well as the Data Protection Solicitor & Deputy DPO - you will provide expert legal advice on a range of data protection issues, particularly within third-party contracts.

In collaboration with senior stakeholders, you will offer guidance on data protection laws, assist in contract negotiations, and support compliance efforts. This includes drafting and reviewing data processing agreements, privacy policies, and conducting data protection impact assessments, as well as advising on data-heavy projects as required.

We are looking for a UK qualified solicitor with at least two years' post-qualified experience in data protection law, either from an in-house or private practice setting. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will engage with colleagues at all levels of the business, including the senior leadership team., Any references to PQE/years' experience in our adverts are included purely as a guide and should not preclude candidates who believe they have the requisite skills and experience from applying.

Haggerty Jaques is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Data Protection Solicitor to join a highly respected in-house legal team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
