Are you an experienced Data Quality Analyst, looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company? We would like to hear from you. A brand new role, the Data Quality Analyst will play key role in the transformation of Chambers becoming a Data and Analytics business. Working closely with Product, Research and our Data Engineering team, the Data Quality Analyst will identify expectations and requirements on Data Quality, agree on specifications, coordinate with colleagues to ensure that the necessary data points are available for measurement, collaborate to identify the best means of visualise the current data quality levels, and then partner with the respective teams to put in place methods of improving Data Quality in line with our strategy. The Data Quality Analyst will be a self-starter, will have a solution-oriented mindset, and will work well as part of a team. The overarching goal is to ensure that the appropriate levels of Data Quality are agreed upon, and there are processes in place to remedy any issues, ahead of our strategic build out of Data and Analytics offerings. The Data Quality Analyst will partner in the development of Data Contracts, reporting on outliers, and will make recommendations with various teams as to where the priorities to improvement may lie. You have experience at identifying data quality issues for both quantitative and qualitative datasets, you've navigated complex businesses, worked across numerous departments and are also adept at communicating any issues and working through resolutions so that they can make sense to those who are less familiar with data. You've also got experience at identifying issues, and will also load, profile and investigate data issues, and through your analysis of data you will support in the delivery of business projects.,

  • Data Quality Management: Define, establish, and maintain data quality standards and metrics. Identify key data points and ensure they are accurately captured and measured.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Research, and Data Engineering, to ensure data quality expectations are understood and met. Coordinate with these teams to make necessary data points available for quality assessment.
  • Data Visualisation and Reporting: Develop and implement tools and dashboards to visualize data quality levels. Regularly report on data quality metrics, highlighting trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Data Contracts and Governance: Partner in the creation and maintenance of data contracts, ensuring that data usage policies are adhered to. Report on data outliers and ensure compliance with internal and external data governance standards.
  • Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues for both qualitative and quantitative datasets. Develop processes to proactively address potential data quality concerns.
  • Strategic Insights and Recommendations: Analyse data to provide actionable insights. Make recommendations on prioritising data quality improvements, aligning with the company's strategic direction in data and analytics.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex data quality issues and resolutions to stakeholders, including those with limited data expertise, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support Business Projects: Contribute to the successful delivery of business projects by providing accurate and reliable data analysis, identifying data quality issues, and ensuring data integrity throughout project lifecycles.

    Experience: Proven experience in data quality analysis, particularly with qualitative data in complex business environments. Familiarity with legal or marketing data is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualisation (preferably Power BI). Knowledge of data profiling and data governance frameworks.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in identifying, analysing, and resolving data quality issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate technical data issues into business-friendly language.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline).
