Full Job Description

This initiative supports offender monitoring and aims to enhance public safety by integrating a data-driven, technology-led approach. The services include managing the installation, removal, and monitoring of electronic devices.

The Data and Insights team is responsible for deriving actionable insights, deliver outcomes and monitor performance of the contract.

We are looking for a Data Quality Lead to support the team in ensuring the integrity and quality of data across all systems and processes within the contract. As Data Quality
Lead you'll collaborate with data owners and stewards to define minimum standards for business-critical data and establish processes to monitor ongoing data quality.

You'll also drive data governance and quality improvement initiatives covering system improvements, data integration between key platforms and ensure that robust controls are in place to maintain data quality within acceptable risk levels.

Your main responsibilities:

- Establish and maintain a comprehensive data quality framework, including data profiling, cleansing, standardisation, and enrichment.
- Implement and manage data quality monitoring and reporting processes to identify and address data quality issues proactively.
- Manage, monitor, review, and correct errors between systems of record, PowerBI and third-party systems to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve data quality issues in a timely and effective manner and escalate issues to data owners as needed.
- Define and enforce data quality standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organisation.
- Build data quality rulesets and data quality reporting to identify data errors and related trends, including resolution speed and volume.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards, and IT teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality meets business needs.
- Drive continuous improvement in data quality processes and practices through ongoing monitoring, analysis, and optimisation.

You will be working as a Data Quality Lead or similar with a strong understanding of SQL, ServiceNow and Power BI and the ability to critically analyse data quality issues, identify patterns, and propose effective solutions.
- Proven experience defining and implementing data quality rules and frameworks (e.g. DAMA or DCAM).
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining data management artefacts such as glossaries, definitions, standards, and lineage.
- Strong understanding of data quality principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Understanding of data privacy, governance and security regulations.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience in leading data governance and conducting successful data quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to travel (a valid UK driver's licence is essential), Disability Confident
