Full Job Description

This is a hands-on data scientist role within an innovative and fast-growing digital business. You will be working to develop algorithms and models to support Tecsa's portfolio of global clients. Examples of the types of analyses include:

  • Development of models to evaluate and predict consumer purchasing behaviour based on detailed transaction history

  • Segmentation and clustering of consumers to support targeted promotions and marketing

  • Evaluation of campaign performance with statistics and ML

  • Building dashboards and other visualisations to clearly communicate relevant business information

    Strong knowledge and experience of using data and analytics to understand and optimize customer propositions and journeys

  • Experience and creativity in designing personalised propositions and customer engagement solutions

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Strong Python, SQL, Excel

  • 2+ years industry experience in data analytics role, preferably in Retail, Consumer Goods or Financial Services


  • Desirable:
  • MSc or PhD in a computer science or STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) related field or the foreign equivalent

  • Understanding of distributed systems and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment within a geographically distributed team

  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, ability to ask questions and probe to uncover issues

  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

  • Technically curious, self-motivated, versatile and solution oriented

  • Power BI

    Tesca is growing its analytics team and is seeking an experienced data scientist. The data scientist will work collaboratively with our clients to help build analytics capabilities, embed technology, and drive growth.

    Base salary up to £55k p.a. dependent on experience, plus annual performance-based bonus
