Data Scientist (Remote)

We are currently seeking a Data Scientist to join a cross-disciplinary team of lab and data scientists, focused on the development computer vision tools for cell characterization in biomanufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Development of image processing techniques to extract biological insights from microscope images of cells, including definition of training and inferencing pipelines.
• Monitoring and maintaining inferencing pipelines deployed in the field.
• Robust implementation of the internal image analysis toolbox for team use, with clear documentation and unit testing
• Support broader data management activities to include image dataset curation and pre-processing.
• Preparation of reports to support Quality Assurance and marketing collateral.
  
  First degree in Computer Science with formal software engineering training
• Postgraduate qualification in Data Science with a significant Artificial Intelligence component
• 1 year experience working in computer vision and using standard libraries (Tensorflow and/or Pytorch, opencv, scikit-learn)
• 2 years' software engineering experience working with Python
• 2 years' experience on DBMS and query languages, particularly on SQL
