Full Job Description

Do you have experience in implementing and maintaining data security solutions and data prevention tools? If so, join Elysium Healthcare as a Data Security Engineer. As the Data Security Engineer you will responsible for the deployment, configuration and ongoing management of data protection solutions. You will play a critical role in implementing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies, ensuring data security, monitoring access, and maintaining compliance with industry standards to safeguard the organisation's sensitive information. Additionally, you will provide assistance, support, and cover for broader security engineering tasks, collaborating with the wider IT and security teams as needed. As a Data Security Engineer, you will be:

  • Leading the end-to-end implementation of Data Security products, including the upcoming Varonis implementation.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and successfully configure security solutions to meet organisational needs.
  • Integrating data security tools with existing IT infrastructure to enhance visibility, DLP capabilities, and overall data protection.
  • Conducting regular system checks, updates, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of data security tools.
  • Monitoring data activity, security alerts, and system logs to detect potential risks, anomalies, and DLP incidents.
  • Promptly troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data security systems to maintain continuous protection.
  • Aligning configurations with organisational security policies, DLP strategies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing strategies for data protection and access control in collaboration with the Information Security team.
  • Generating and analysing reports to provide insights into data usage, risks, DLP incidents, and compliance status.
  • Ensuring compliance with NIST Cybersecurity Framework standards, implementing controls and measures that align with its guideline.

    3-5 years of first-hand experience in implementing and maintaining data security solutions and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools, with a focus on practical application and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in supporting broader security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with NIST Cybersecurity Framework standards.
  • Extensive first-hand experience with data security tools, with experience in Varonis products being highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies, focusing on practical implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Extensive experience securing data within a M365/Azure environment utilising native solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data protection solutions.
  • Familiarity with general security engineering principles, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network security basics.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and UNIX/Linux systems, including Active Directory, file servers, and data repositories
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM solutions, and endpoint protection.
  • In-depth understanding of DLP tools like Symantec DLP, Forcepoint DLP, Digital Guardian, Microsoft Purview Information Protection, or similar technologies, and how to integrate these tools into existing security frameworks
  • Experience with data protection regulations and the implementation of compliance strategies, including adherence to NIST standards
