Data Solutions Sales Team Leader (based in any of our EMEA locations)

What the day will look like

Strategy:

  • In coordination with the Regional Leaders for the Data Solutions business and the various Data Solutions Country Leaders, develop a sales strategy for the region and the various markets which unifies the overall regional commercial goals with those of Data Solutions globally, including revenue plans for each year across all locations.

  • Design Sales Incentive Plans in collaboration with Country Leaders and define targets for the Sales Managers


  • People Management:

  • Manage and grow a team of existing exceptional sales managers across EMEA

  • Actively coach sales skills to the team including objection handling, articulating value, streamlining effort vs reward, implementing a formal coaching structure and cadence

  • Specifically, grow capability across the sales manager team to upsell across all our product solutions in Talent as well as create opportunities for our health business

  • Oversee Incentive payout calculations, supported by the Sales Operations team

  • Provide effective, comprehensive training and, for new starters, onboarding, to all sales team members, including deep product knowledge, process overview, broader Aon knowledge, as well as basic sales training

  • Act as a role-model for the team and set the standard for what good cross-functional sales look like

  • Assign prospects, leads and renewals to SAMs to support and drive revenue growth


  • Business Management:

  • Forecast monthly revenue and assist in annual plan build, working closely with Data Solutions Leader

  • Manage and communicate contracted sales and pipeline to facilitate highly accurate revenue forecasting, working closely with business leaders and finance

  • Establish best in class sales processes, which minimise time spent on administration for sales team and maximise the positive client experience

  • Work with marketing and business leaders to support extensive campaigns to drive leads, maximising conversion rates

  • Act as escalation point where issues arise with clients, seeking swift resolution, keeping client experience at the core

  • Deliver on individual sales target consisting of key clients, growing share of wallet with those clients and role modelling best in class sales skills to the team

  • Analyse sales data to provide insights on growth and shrinkage areas, and pre-empt any issues where trends are observed

  • Manage and ensure accuracy of CRM system(s) (SalesForce and AonConnect) to facilitate reporting and help improve client experience through accurate completion of necessary information by self and team

  • Develop buyer personas which can be utilised to help sales team members understand client perspectives and how they are likely to use the various products and services available, facilitating increased sales and maximising a positive client experience

  • Core responsibility for achieving ambitious YOY growth targets in EMEA and delivering predictable revenue and growth across each product line for Data Solutions

  • Partner with multiple solution line leaders to bring their products to market successfully and effectively in a new way, ensuring team members understand the products and how clients will utilise them

  • Continuously improve and optimise our processes from invoicing to sales to reporting

  • Lead global knowledge sharing with peers and drive success beyond your home region

    Aon's EMEA Data Solutions Sales Team Leader, has the primary focus of driving revenue growth across our core product solutions. You will be tasked with co-leading a team of exceptional sales managers with their respective country leaders and driving and delivering on our ambitious annual growth targets in EMEA. As part of our commercial leadership team for the region you will have significant influence and input into our regional sales strategy and equally have a direct responsibility for its success.
