We are looking for a driven individual to join our Data Solutions Team, within Aon's UK Retirement business. This team brings together specialists from across our business to deliver project work for clients. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from any of our UK Retirement offices. As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed. What the day will look like

  • Lead capacity planning across a team of nearly 100 individuals for hundreds of projects.
  • Work with, and provide operational oversight of, others involved in work planning - including a programme manager, PMO and project managers.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients and senior individuals across Aon, to manage expectations, deliver difficult messages, resolve challenges, build knowledge and manage inter-team dependencies.
  • Identify and resolve project risks and systematic risks, and contribute to process improvement activities.
  • Oversee the monitoring of project financials and take actions to manage costs or budgets where needed.
  • Deliver management information on the portfolio (such as RAG status and pipeline data).
  • Work with others in the Data Solutions Team management group to provide leadership and help meet our business objectives.
  • How this opportunity is different As Planning Lead, you will get the opportunity to interact with a wide range of colleagues and teams within the UK Retirement business. You'll join a growing and engaged team and have a significant influence on its direction and impact. Your delivery will directly contribute to the 'Aon Story'. Having a strong network of colleagues for support is pivotal for your individual development, and your network of colleagues will naturally increase rapidly from day one. Individual development within role will be fast paced, with new and interesting challenges presenting themselves through changes in pensions legislation and industry initiatives. Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Be proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to own and deliver the best solutions for Aon
  • Be willing to learn about complex and inter-dependent processes, improve processes and adapt to change
  • Be collaborative and supportive, working well in a team
  • Have experience of data cleanse and administration change projects, such as GMP rectification, GMP equalisation and buy-in to buy-out data work
  • Be able to make challenging decisions and deliver difficult messages
  • Ability to identify project risks/issues, and work with multiple stakeholders to mitigate
  • How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. Plus, our agile, inclusive environment allows you to manage your wellbeing and work/life balance, ensuring you can be your best self at Aon.
