Full Job Description

  • As the Data Sourcing Partner, you will have a great strategic mindset, familiarity with data governance and ability to liaise with technical teams and will be expected to demonstrate agile ways of working, leading the stakeholders through the new agile operating model as necessary.
  • The Data Sourcing Partner will play a key role within the Data Strategy Data Sourcing pillar, to drive strategic collaborations and projects with broad stakeholders, both technical and business.
  • In addition to participating in standard Data Sourcing BAU activities such as Data purchase reviews with Commercial Insights leadership and support contract negotiation discussions, you will lead selected strategic projects pertaining to improving Data Sourcing operations or on large scale purchase reviews with technical teams, to ensure the needs of the business and the technical pillars of Data Strategy are met.
  • This role reports to the Lead of Data Sourcing, who reports to the Head of Data Strategy.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the strategic optimization of data purchase processes for Commercial Insights organization, utilizing current ongoing studies (e.g. data value framework) and analyses of data purchases, including Cross-functional process review and optimization plan development and execution, including change management.
  • Building and executing Commercial Insights Data education programs using resources such as Vendor Hub, to further grow data knowledge of core data e.g. IQVIA and also increase awareness of new datasets.
  • Led the end-to-end data journey for new brands, bridging the needs of business and technical stakeholders particularly for new brands and resolving any issues in data delivery occurring within the data governance processes
  • Providing expertise on annual data purchase review cycles for strategic utilization of budget and facilitate data needs discussions.
  • Led cross-functional review of new data governance solutions e.g. DaaS, partnering and coordinating with broad stakeholders, and driving the Go/no-Go discussions and decision-making.

    Solid knowledge of the business needs within pharmaceutical Commercial Insights, both at global and affiliate levels and identify multiple ways that commercial data can be used to meet these business needs, to be able to discuss data needs and challenge them to the business
  • Experience with data governance practices, strong understanding of technological requirements, and the ability to communicate these requirements and issues with business/vendors, and vice versa.
  • Effective communication and ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, lead negotiations to achieve the best outcomes for Astellas for service or data delivery support and issue resolution
  • Experienced in working in cross-functional teams to manage complex projects with change management to obtain buy-in from leadership and partner functions
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities; ability to align varied stakeholder needs into recommendations
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Pharma commercial insights experience, or experience procuring pharmaceutical commercial data.
  • Experience leading multi-phased, multi-stakeholder projects at a global or regional level., Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
