DataBricks Data Engineer

Robert Half is supporting their client, a Global Consulting Firm, in seeking a Databricks Engineer to partner with them and become an associate in a data transformation programme for a leading retail company. This project is expected to last 6 to 18 months and involves hands-on work with Databricks, with a broader scope including Data Lake integration. Contract Assignment Details: Location: London (Hybrid Working - 1-2 days per week) Duration: Initial 3 months - until end of 2024 (with potential extension) Day Rate: £500-550 per day The Databricks Engineer will need experience in: Hands-on experience with Databricks, including development, implementation, and optimisation in large-scale environments. Ideally background in Retail, FMCG, Hospitality, or similar sectors. Proven skills in executing data transformation projects. Strong practical knowledge of Data Lake architecture and integration, with experience in managing and structuring extensive datasets. Deep understanding of

cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on building and optimising big data solutions. Proficiency in data modelling, ETL processes, and data governance to ensure scalable and efficient data handling.
