Full Job Description
We are a well-established security company operating across the South of England, committed to maintaining the highest standards of security and safety. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Day Security Officer for our Holton Heath Office, located on the outskirts of Poole., As the Day Security Officer, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the daily operations of our East Dorset Mobile and Static Security Teams. This role involves working five days a week with shifts spread across seven days. Weekday hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 and weekend hours are from 07:00 to 18:00. Your key duties will include customer liaison, control room monitoring, operational reporting, shift and rota planning, alarm responses, mobile patrols, site visits, surveys and property inspections.
For the right candidate, this role offers a clear progression path to an Assistant Managerial position within the first 12 months, with an increased remuneration package as the role develops.,
- Provide support to management and the security team.
- Liaising with current and potential clients
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our East Dorset Static & Mobile Security Teams.
- Conduct mobile security patrols using fully liveried company vehicles as needed.
- Cover security team duties during holidays and sickness.
- Manage and prioritise your workload in a busy environment and work well under pressure.
- Work effectively both as part of a team and independently, managing your own time and workload.
Valid SIA licence - Full driving licence
- Previous experience in security (advantageous), including:
- Basic proficiency in mobile handheld technology.
- Strong commitment to maintaining security and safety standards.
- IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner.
- Proven trustworthiness, flexibility, and reliability.
- Ability to remain composed and efficient under pressure.
- Strong team player with the ability to work unsupervised.
£11.50, rising to £12.50 per hour after the probationary period. With further increases as the role develops. - 5 days per week - including some weekends
